LT1054CP Description
The LT1054CP is a voltage converter featuring switching capacitors and a regulator. It provides a much higher output current and fewer voltage losses than earlier converters. Over a wide range of output currents, an adaptive-switch drive scheme maximizes efficiency. At 100mA output current, the total voltage loss is typically 1.1V. This applies to the entire 3.5 to 15V supply voltage range. The average quiescent current is 2.5mA. In addition, the LT1054 provides regulation, which was previously unavailable in switched-capacitor voltage converters. A regulated output can be obtained by adding an external resistive divider. Both the input voltage and the output current are regulated in this output. By grounding the feedback terminal, the voltage converter can also be turned off. In shutdown, the supply current is normally 100A.
