PDR-V466 Overview
The Bulk protects these photodiodes from damage. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in TO-5 Variant, 2 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages for safety purposes. It is considered that the maximum voltage the photodiodes can withstand in reverse-bias mode is 100V. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 100V permanently. Despite the absence of light, photodiodes make 10pA current.
