To protect these photodiodes from damage, the Bulk is used. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into TO-5 Variant, 2 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages. Continually operating in reverse-bias mode, a photodiode's maximum voltage is 100V. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse-bias mode, they should not exceed voltage 100V. A photodiode conducts 5nA current without light input.
