Photodiodes are protected from damage by the Bulk package. It is necessary to place the photodiodes into TO-5 Variant, 2 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages in order to protect them from damage. Reverse-bias photodiodes can withstand a maximum of 100V in continuous reverse-bias mode. A continuous reverse-bias voltage of 100V should be maintained for the photodiodes. In the absence of light input, the photodiode exhibits a current of 3nA.
