To protect the photodiodes, they are packed in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in TO-5 Variant, 4 Leads, Lens Top Metal Can packages for safety purposes. When reverse-biased continuously, photodiodes can withstand a maximum voltage of 100V. Continuously reverse-bias the photodiodes shouldn't exceed 100V. Even in the absence of light input, a photodiode occurs 500pA current.
