PDB-C139 Overview
Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. In order to ensure their safety, the photodiodes are packaged into Radial, 5mm Dia (T 1 3/4) packages. When reverse-biased continuously, photodiodes can withstand a maximum voltage of 50V. The voltage for the photodiodes should not exceed 50V in reverse-bias mode on a continual basis. To make sure photodiodes work, the breakdown voltage should be 25V. It is possible for a photodiode to operate at 5nA current even if no light is provided.
