Designed to protect these photodiodes against damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in Radial, 3mm Dia (T-1) packages for safety purposes. Continuous reverse-bias means the photodiodes can withstand only 100V voltage. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse-bias mode, they should not exceed voltage 100V. In the absence of light input, a photodiode produces 1nA current.
