PDB-708 Overview
Photodiodes are protected from damage by the Bulk package. For safety reasons, the photodiodes are packaged in TO-206AA, TO-18-3 Metal Can packages. When reverse-biased continuously, photodiodes can withstand a maximum voltage of 300V. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 300V permanently. In the absence of light input, a photodiode produces a 2nA current.
