MTPD1346-010 Overview
The photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk in order to prevent damage to them. To ensure safety, photodiodes are put into TO-46-3 Lens Top Metal Can packages. Photodiodes can only withstand 5V in reverse-bias mode indefinitely. Reverse-bias photodiodes should not be operated above 5V permanently. A photodiode is capable of conducting 100nA current even without light input.
