HSDL-5420#021 Overview
The photodiodes are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) to prevent damage. Photodiodes are protected by 2-SMD, Yoke Bend packages in order to ensure their safety. It is recommended to set the reverse-bias mode for the photodiodes to not exceed 40V on a continuous basis. There are 2 pins on the photodiodes. It is possible for the photodiodes within a circuit to release 150mW heat. For photodiodes, the reverse anode voltage should be 40V. In order to get current to flow across a photodiode, there must be a voltage of 800mV. Reverse-biased photodiodes could supply 40V voltage. It is possible for a photodiode to operate at 1nA current even if no light is provided.
