BS500B Overview
The photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk in order to prevent damage to them. To ensure safety, the photodiodes are packaged in Side View packages. When reverse-biased continuously, photodiodes can withstand a maximum voltage of 10V. It is important that the reverse-bias voltage of the photodiodes do not exceed 10V continuously. It is possible for a photodiode to produce 3pA even without light input.
