BS500A Overview
Bulk is used to protect the photodiodes from damage. A safety package containing the photodiodes is provided for their protection. A photodiode can withstand a maximum voltage of 10V if it is continuously reverse-biased. As long as the photodiodes are operated in reverse-bias mode, they should not exceed voltage 10V. A photodiode is equipped with 2 pins. A photodiode is capable of conducting 10pA current even without light input.
